CRMCA First Annual Mixer Driver Championship Winner: Steve Eidson
The Carolinas Ready Mixed Concrete Association (CRMCA) 2008 Mixer Driver’s Championship was held on May 10 at Mack Truck Sales of Charlotte. The competition consisted of three parts; a written examination, a “walk-around visual inspection” of a concrete mixer truck and a “Seven Section Challenge Course” testing the participant’s driving skill and mixer operating skills. Mixer Drivers accumulated points in all 3 of these categories to compile their final score.
Thirty one of the best professional mixer drivers from North & South Carolina participated in the competition. Statesville resident Steve Eidson, a 23-year veteran of Ready Mixed 
Concrete Company, was declared the winner of the front discharge competition for North Carolina and was presented a check for $750.00. As winner of the state-wide competition Steve will represent Ready Mixed Concrete Company and the State of North Carolina at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association (NRMCA) National Mixer Driver Championship to be held in Nashville, TN in October 2008.
Congratulations to Steve on his outstanding accomplishment. His many years of experience, dedication, and excellent job performance make him someone we are proud to have represent RMCC on the “National Stage.”
